My Earth Day Resolutions:

1. Switch from plug-in air fresheners to disposable. It feels like a no win because I hate, I hate, I HATE disposable products!! BUT at least I won’t be sucking up unecessary energy just to make my apartment smell good.

2. Switch my regular lightbulbs to compact fluorescent lightbulbs.

3. Remember to not only turn off my computer overnight, but also turn off the power cord. Same for the tv power cord.

4. Get a compost bin for my rabbits’ litterbox instead of throwing it in the garbage in a plastic bag.

5. Be more proactive about not taking my stuff home from the store in plastic bags.

I think that’s pretty good! I don’t drive, I recycle everything, I don’t use anything disposable, I shop organic, bring my own bags to the store, unplug electrical devices when not using them, don’t use harsh chemicals for cleaning, flush the toilet selectively, always remember to turn the lights of that I’m not using, pick up garbage in the park if I come across it…but I still feel like I’m not doing enough. I feel like my garbage output should be less than my recycling output. It’s about the same I guess, I hate all that plastic packaging crap that products are put in. You can’t recycle it and it drives me nuts! And what also makes me mad is that we only have a recycling bin for newspaper, but not for all
